based on the needs of our Customers & Consumers
• Establishing & maintaining necessary systems,
processes & procedures to assure Product Quality &
Consumer Safety at every stage of our Supply Chain –
first time, every time
• Training & equiping our managers & employees
to use these systems, processes & procedures as well as
fulfilling their responsibilities effectively and rewarding
significant improvement done by employees.
• Proactively identifying and evaluating Quality &
potential Consumer Safety hazards within our operations and
eliminating them through initiating zero defect projects.
• Setting annual targets for continuous improvements
& providing adequate resources to implement Quality &
Consumer Safety improvement programmes that will proactively
address our significant Quality & Consumer safety risks
• Supporting and developing our external partners (suppliers
/ contract manufacturers / distributors) to achieve targeted
Quality & Consumer Safety improvements
• Promptly attending to all Customer & Consumer
complaints on Product Quality & Consumer Safety and taking
speedy remedial actions & eliminating the possibility
of its recurrence
• Complying with all Unilever and legal requirements
for Product Quality & Consumer Safety as well as satisfying
all claims and pack declarations
• Working with industry bodies, government agencies,
business partners and other concerned organizations to promote
knowledge and awareness of Product Quality & Consumer
Safety
• Ensuring that our Quality or Consumer Safety standards
will not be compromised for operational expediency
Ensuring Product Quality and Consumer Safety is the responsibility
of all managers & employees – irrespective of function
and as such, each of us must strive for excellence in this
area.
The overall responsibility of meeting
the objectives of this Quality & Consumer Safety Policy
rests with the Chairman.
