At the same time, we will ensure that our products are safe for its intended use and under no circumstances, will we compromise on the safety of our products. As such, ensuring Quality & eliminating Consumer Safety risk of our products are essential pre-requisites for us to secure competitive advantage & our continued success.

Implementation:
Our unwavering commitment to the above objectives will be achieved by:
• Setting quality standards for finished goods and materials based on the needs of our Customers & Consumers
• Establishing & maintaining necessary systems, processes & procedures to assure Product Quality & Consumer Safety at every stage of our Supply Chain – first time, every time
• Training & equiping our managers & employees to use these systems, processes & procedures as well as fulfilling their responsibilities effectively and rewarding significant improvement done by employees.
• Proactively identifying and evaluating Quality & potential Consumer Safety hazards within our operations and eliminating them through initiating zero defect projects.
• Setting annual targets for continuous improvements & providing adequate resources to implement Quality & Consumer Safety improvement programmes that will proactively address our significant Quality & Consumer safety risks
• Supporting and developing our external partners (suppliers / contract manufacturers / distributors) to achieve targeted Quality & Consumer Safety improvements
• Promptly attending to all Customer & Consumer complaints on Product Quality & Consumer Safety and taking speedy remedial actions & eliminating the possibility of its recurrence
• Complying with all Unilever and legal requirements for Product Quality & Consumer Safety as well as satisfying all claims and pack declarations
• Working with industry bodies, government agencies, business partners and other concerned organizations to promote knowledge and awareness of Product Quality & Consumer Safety
• Ensuring that our Quality or Consumer Safety standards will not be compromised for operational expediency

Ensuring Product Quality and Consumer Safety is the responsibility of all managers & employees – irrespective of function and as such, each of us must strive for excellence in this area.

The overall responsibility of meeting the objectives of this Quality & Consumer Safety Policy rests with the Chairman.
